Younes Kaboul believes Louis Saha will prove to be a shrewd acquisition for Tottenham, with the Frenchman adding goals and experience to their ranks.
Saha completed a switch to White Hart Lane shortly before the January transfer window slammed shut.
His arrival in the capital came as a surprise to many, with injury troubles having followed him wherever he has been.
At the age of 33 he can hardly be considered to be one for the future either, and he has only managed two goals for the Toffees this term.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp feels Saha could be a useful addition to his ranks, though, and his fellow countryman Kaboul is backing the former Fulham and Manchester United forward to be a hit in North London.
"Louis is welcome here at Spurs. He's a quality player," Kaboul said following Tuesday night's 3-1 win over Wigan.
"I don't know him very well but I just know he's a good lad."
Saha has joined a side that remains well-placed in the Premier League title race, with a midweek victory over the Latics taking Spurs to within five points of top spot.
"We don't really watch what's happened to the other teams," added Kaboul.
"We're just looking out for ourselves because, for me, the only danger is us and no-one else.
"So long as we win our games there will be no problems."
