The Togolese frontman was drafted into White Hart Lane on a permanent deal last summer having previously impressed during a season-long loan.
Injuries and a trip to the Africa Cup of Nations in the New Year have prevented him from making the desired impact in 2012/13.
Adebayor, who has been restricted to 16 Premier League starts and has netted just four times in the top flight, concedes that he has found the going tough, but claims to be improving all the time.
He told Spurs' official website: "Don't get me wrong, it's been a difficult season for me with injuries but I feel I'm getting fitter now and it's strange, I'm getting fitter and it's the end of the season.
"We've got two games to go and I will give everything I've got left in the locker."
Adebayor was among the goals on Wednesday as Spurs hit back to claim a 2-2 draw at capital rivals Chelsea and keep their top-four ambitions alive.
On that game, he added: "Even at 2-1 we had to believe we had the quality to score.
"Clint Dempsey came in, Gylfi (Sigurdsson) came in, we know with that quality we can score at any time. In the end we scored late and we wanted the third goal, but it didn't happen for us."
