Spurs paid Valencia £26m for the Spain striker's services over the summer but he has struck just three goals in open play in all competitions and Andre Villas-Boas' side have been accused of looking toothless in attack.
Asked whether he had found the net as much as he would have liked since arriving in London, Soldado said: "No. Definitely not. Much less. A lot of my goals have come from the penalty spot.
"I want to score more goals than I am doing at the moment. That is why they signed me.
"I have been doing it all my career. I haven't done so far here, but I am convinced I will get there."
The 28-year-old will be hoping his renaissance begins on Wednesday night, when Tottenham - currently lying in ninth place in the table - travel across the capital to face Fulham.
