Spurs were crushed 5-0 by the Reds at White Hart Lane in December, with the 10-man hosts unable to contain Brendan Rodgers' free-scoring visitors.
Tim Sherwood's men will be given the opportunity to right a few wrongs on Merseyside this weekend, and get their top-four bid back on track at the same time.
Eriksen claims there is a determination within the Spurs camp to do just that, with their performances against the cream of the Premier League crop this season having left a lot to be desired.
The Danish playmaker said in the Independent on Sunday: "Everybody here wants to prove we're not that bad.
"We have some big losses against the bigger clubs. We know if we want to go any further or any closer to the top, we have to win. It's still a big gap [to the top four].
"Of course, we will be realistic. At this point, just look one game at a time. The whole League is so close right now.
"If you lose one game you're feeling down, if you win you're up, so I think we just take one game at a time and then see where we are after Sunday.
"Everybody wants a nice cold revenge. That's certainly a distinctive response."
Eriksen also maintains that he has no regrets at having opted to link up with Spurs last summer, with leading lights from across Europe - including Paris Saint-Germain - having closely monitored his situation at Ajax for some time before the transfer door was finally opened.
The 22-year-old added: "I spoke to Jan [Vertonghen] a few times before I came. I saw a lot of games last season. I liked the type of game they played. I could see myself on the team with all the players."
