Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that he is open to signing more players before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Premier League outfit have recruited five players this summer, including goalkeeper Michel Vorm from Swansea City and defender Eric Dier from Sporting Lisbon.

On Wednesday, Spurs completed the signing of centre-back Federico Fazio from Spanish club Sevilla for a reported transfer fee of £8 million.

Explaining his decision to add yet another defender to his squad, Pochettino told The Sun: "We need to have different options in this position.

"Okay, we have Younes Kaboul, Jan Vertonghen, Vlad Chiriches, Eric Dier, Zeki Fryrers and Milos Veljkovic.

"All are different types of players, all have different characteristics. It's important to add some players so you can choose in every game the best options."

Pochettino has also hinted that his business in the transfer window is not complete yet.

"We need to give balance to the squad," the Daily Mail quotes the Argentine boss as saying.

"I don't talk about names, never. I always say not to expect a lot of movement, but it is possible that we add some players, yes."
