Rovers` Gresko move stumbling

BLACKBURN ROVERS have confirmed that their proposed move for Parma defender Vratislav Gresko has hit a stumbling block.

Rovers have already agreed the terms of the transfer with Parma, but talks with the player's agents have not gone according to plan.

Planetfootball.com understand that Rovers have offered Gresko less than what he is currently on at The Ennio Tardini.

Gresko still has two years left on his current contract with Parma and is not willing to lower his current salary to the extent that is on offer.

It remains to be seen whether Rovers will be able to hammer out a deal for Gresko - but if they do not then they will be on the look out for another left back, like they were before he arrived midway through last season.

Rovers were very pleased with Gresko and his performances and the Slovakian admitted to being happy with life at Ewood Park.

However, if talks fail to overcome the current impasse - then he will remain in Parma.
