Another capture is imminent, with Parma's Vratislav Gresko flying in to sign a three-year contract at Ewood Park, following his successful loan stint last term.
"Gresko is arriving tonight (Monday)," confirmed chief executive John Williams. "He will need a medical but we've made very good progress.
"I think he won't be available until the end of the month (because he's injured), but I'm confident he'll be joining us on a three-year deal."
Amoruso wrapped up a £1.4 million switch from Rangers on a three-year contract, while Emerton cost £2.2 million from Feyenoord and penned a four-year deal.
Rookie keeper Yelldell arrives from Stuttgart Kickers.
"I made plans quite early on, long before the season finished," revealed manager Graeme Souness.
"We decided what positions we needed to strengthen. Unfortunately, you can plan all you want, but it doesn't always happen that way. But it actually has this time.
"Keith Gillespie, Henning Berg and Stig Inge Bjornebye were going and we knew we wanted to replace them.
"Lorenzo is a man, at 32, who is going to be an enormous help to me in the dressing room. Senior professionals are important in being part of a good team, on and off the pitch.
"He is a leader, without doubt. Vastly experienced and, I think, plays football.
"You try to do your homework, and all the questions I asked, I got the answers I wanted. I'm sure he'll be a big influence.
"Lorenzo takes responsibility, and takes the ball under pressure.
"Brett was chased by as many clubs chasing one player as I can remember in my time. I'm delighted we've done the deal with Feyenoord and Brett himself, and I'm sure both of these players will be a huge success.
"With our squad, we played a lot of games with wingers where we weren't as strong as we should have been. Brett is a working player who also has flair on the right-hand side, and can be part of a solid midfield if necessary. He's as good as there is around at doing that.
"David is a young keeper. We've had a bit of luck with a keeper from America and, with his background, if he's anywhere near as good as Brad (Friedel), we'll be thrilled to bits.
"He's got physical size, very athletic and is one for the future."
