Latics sink Rovers

The game helped to raise £30,000 for the club's Supporters Trust, as The Latics try to fight their way out of financial trouble.
Oldham broke the deadlock on 20 minutes with trialist Paul Wheatcroft heading home Josh Low's cross at the second attempt, after Alan Kelly made a superb save from his first header.
The Division Two side doubled the lead eight minutes into the second half with a brilliantly worked goal from Scott Vernon.
Oldham opened up the Blackburn defence with a superb move involving Paul Murray, Low and Wheatcroft to put Vernon through on goal and he coolly lifted the ball over Kelly into the net.
Blackburn pulled a goal back on 62 minutes with youngster Paul Gallagher getting on the end of Alan Mahon's cross to volley home from close range.
The Premiership side pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but could not a find past a resolute Oldham defence who held out for a confidence boosting victory.
A second-string Leeds line-up were held to a 2-2 draw at near-neighbours Bradford Park Avenue with Harpal Singh and Simon Johnson netting for The Whites.
