20-year-old Danns has penned a one-month deal with a view to a longer deal.
Liverpool-born Danns is looking to expand his first team experience, after making the breakthrough at Ewood Park last season - playing in both The Premiership and Uefa Cup.
Douglas, 21, moves to Bloomfield Road on a three-month deal, but like Danns could stay for the whole season.
The youngster, who can play anywhere in midfield, spent part of last season on loan at Chesterfield.
Meanwhile, Blackpool have handed a trial to former Huddersfield Town and Tranmere Rovers star Kenny Irons, who will be looking to land a permanent deal with The Tangerines.
