Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes admits that Morten Gamst Pedersen has taken time to settle into Premiership life.
The Norwegian was very highly regarded during his time with Tromso and attracted the attention of a number of top clubs.
Rovers eventually won the battle for his signature and the winger is showing signs of hitting top form.
Certainly, his display in the win over Norwich City was impressive as he opened the scoring before setting up Paul Dickov for the second goal in a 3-0 cruise for the home side.
"He's an obvious talent but he's a young player," said Hughes.
"He's come to a different style of football and a different country, and it is always going to take time to acclimatise.
"I thought he wasn't prepared for the demands of The Premiership but he's got his head down; hasn't moped around; worked hard for two and a half months; come into the side and had a real impact for us.
"He was excellent again and, from now until the end of the season, he's going to be a big player for us.
"He has that ability [from set-pieces] and we did a little bit of work on corners. At Ewood, it can be difficult because of the camber of the pitch but he's got that ability and we reaped the benefits on Saturday."
