The 27-year-old damaged his cruciate ligament whist appearing for Slovakia in November, and was ruled out for the season.
Having accepted that he will not feature this term, the ex-Internazionale man is now targeting a comeback in time for the start of next season's campaign.
Gresko has been undergoing intensive rehabilitation, and praised the club's staff for their part in his recovery.
"I should be able to run in the next four weeks," Gresko told the club's official website.
"I spend five hours a day in the gym, it is hard work but it has to be done.
"I hope to be fully recovered for the start of pre-season, but it is a serious injury so who knows what could happen.
"I expect to be with the team in July, pre-season is very important.
"The physios are brilliant, they try to be positive and that is good for me."
