Morten Gamst Pedersen has defended Blackburn's physical style.Morten Gamst Pedersen has defended Blackburn's style after widespread criticism over the physical nature of Mark Hughes' side.
Blackburn have recently been hit by an FA fine of £10,000 and £50,000 suspended for their dire disciplinary record last season - exasperated by Paul Dickov's wild challenge that led to a red card on the opening day of this term.
Saturday's 2-1 win over Fulham saw Blackburn finish the game with a full complement of players, although they did commit more fouls than any other Premiership side this weekend.
However, Norwegian wide man Pedersen believes that their robust reputation is ill-founded and that on the contrary, Blackburn are capable of producing some entertaining football.
''There's always people who don't like what you do but we have to live with it,'' said Pedersen.
''If we play like this every week, they will have to start saying we play good football.
''We know that we can play good football and the fans know we can.
''It's most important that the people around us know we can play good football.''
Meanwhile, Blackburn's injury problems have worsened with the news that Dickov faces a month on the sidelines - although the fiery Scotsman is currently serving a suspension and would not be able to play in Rovers' next two games in any case.
