Wrexham have extended the loan of Blackburn striker Matt Derbyshire.
Wrexham have extended the loan of Blackburn striker Matt Derbyshire by a second month.
Derbyshire has been in excellent form for The Red Dragons scoring five goals in just four starts for the League Two outfit.
Racecourse boss Denis Smith underlined his delight at being able to retain the Blackburn-born player who made his Rovers debut at the tail end of last season.
"Obviously Matt's goals have been a big bonus, but he also enjoys being with us and is enjoying the challenge of first team football," said Smith.
A loan move to Plymouth earlier in the campaign failed to bear fruit with the player seemingly the victim of the managerial upheaval at Home Park that saw Tony Pulis succeed Bobby Williamson.
However, the 19-year-old has grabbed his latest opportunity with both hands and will expect to be amongst the goals once again when Smith's side take on Bury at the weekend.
