Pedersen targets fourth place

Morten Gamst Pedersen believes Blackburn can qualify for the Champions League.

Morten Gamst Pedersen believes that Blackburn have a great chance of securing the final UEFA Champions League spot.

Rovers' 1-1 draw with Wigan left Mark Hughes' side level on points with Arsenal and just two behind Tottenham in fourth, and Pedersen thinks they are well placed to sneak through and pip the London rivals.

Pedersen reckons that Blackburn could benefit from Arsenal's involvement in the Champions League, while Spurs appear to be losing momentum and have a difficult run-in.

"On paper Tottenham have the toughest schedule left," the Norwegian told his homeland press.

"Arsenal seem to have an easier one, but they have got to face some of the strugglers who are desperate for points.

"It might actually be worse to face some of those sides at the end of the season. The Champions League might also be an advantage for us.

"It is within reach now, so we shall try to make it."
