Morten Gamst Pedersen is delighted to have helped Blackburn into the Uefa Cup.
Blackburn Rovers winger Morten Gamst Pedersen is delighted to have helped the club claim a place in next season's Uefa Cup.
Rovers defeated Chelsea 1-0 in midweek to ensure sixth spot in The Premiership and Pedersen admits the all-important win could not have come against a better side than the newly-crowned champions.
"It was terrific and it was particularly nice to secure the place by beating Chelsea," Pedersen admitted to Dagbladet.
"We have also beaten Manchester United and Arsenal this season and shown that we can match the best."
Pedersen has been an integral part of Blackburn's success, having scored and made some vital goals during the season.
As happy as he is to be involved so much, the Norwegian international insists that the achievements this season are not all down to his doing and that his Rovers team-mates have contributed just as much as him.
"It's great to be involved so much and I have got a big responsibility in the side," he added.
"But it is not all my own achievements, the rest of the side has played well."
