Morten Gamst Pedersen admits it could be a tall order to repeat last season's finish.
Morten Gamst Pedersen admits it could be a tall order for Blackburn to repeat last season's sixth-placed finish.
Rovers picked up their first win of the season on Sunday with a 4-2 success over Manchester City, to lift the team up off the bottom of the table.
Pedersen had a hand in three of his team's goals - scoring one, and creating two - and the Norway international revealed Rovers were delighted to get off and running, even if they had to ride their luck.
"It was very nice and he [Mark Hughes] was very pleased," Pedersen told VG.
"Although, in the first half, we could have been down with a few goals."
With The Premiership only in its formative stages, Pedersen believes it is too early to predict where the side will finish, but claims a top half finish would represent a successful season.
"We have only played five league matches and there is still a long way to go. But our goal is just to finish in the upper half," added Pedersen.
