Morten Gamst Pedersen feels he is engaged in a constant fight for his place in the Blackburn Rovers team.
The Norway international has started every game for Rovers this season, but does not take his spot in Mark Hughes' side for granted.
Instead, the winger is determined to maintain a high standard to ensure he retains his place on Blackburn's left flank.
"You have to fight every day to keep your place in the team," said Pedersen.
"You want to play and stay in the side. As long as everyone is fit the manager will pick his best team.
"We have a good squad, a bigger squad this year.
"I want to become a better player. I work hard in training and try to learn from other players."
Though the 25-year-old has started all 13 of Blackburn's fixtures, he concedes he is happy to be involved in every match.
He added: "Games are coming thick and fast, but I do not mind a lot of them as that's what you train for.
"I look forward to every one we have.
"You will see more from me this season as we have plenty of games left."
