Morten Gamst Pedersen is out of one of the most important weeks in Blackburn's season.
Blackburn midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen must sit out one of the most important weeks in the club's season after picking up an injury while on international duty.
Pedersen suffered a hamstring strain and was withdrawn after just 39 minutes of Norway's friendly defeat to Croatia on Wednesday.
Initial reports suggested Pedersen had suffered only a dead leg, however Rovers boss Mark Hughes revealed the problem is a little more serious.
Hughes said: "Morten is not looking good at the moment and is going to be out for 10 or 11 days. It is a blow for us because of the important week we have ahead."
Pedersen looks likely to miss Saturday's clash with Everton, the Uefa Cup trip to Bayer Leverkusen and next week's FA Cup fifth round meeting with either Arsenal or Bolton.
