Goalkeeper Mark Bunn has revealed that Paul Robinson's presence at Blackburn Rovers was a major influence upon his decision to move to Ewood Park.
Bunn, 23, joined from Northampton on transfer deadline day for an undisclosed fee as Rovers manager Paul Ince secured back-up for first-choice shot-stopper Robinson.
Nottingham Forest and Derby were also rumoured to be targeting Bunn, but he admits the opportunity to work alongside Robinson - who has made 41 appearances for England - was too good to turn down
"As a kid I've always watched Paul Robinson," Bunn told Rovers' official website.
"And coming here and training with him will be a massive thing for me. That is certainly why I've come here, for the chance to train with him."
However, Bunn's admiration of the former Leeds and Tottenham man will not dent his desire to earn a place in the Blackburn starting XI.
"He (Robinson) is a great goalkeeper - everyone can see that," Bunn added.
"He has had a great career. I'm just here to put him under pressure and hopefully I can get in the team."
