Rovers skipper backing Blackburn to prevail

Ryan Nelsen insists no-one at Blackburn is overly concerned by the club's current predicament. Rovers have gone six games without a Premier League win and are now just two points above rock-bottom West Brom. Their precarious standing in the table has led to fears that the club are set to be dragged into a relegation battle this term. However, club captain Nelsen is refusing to acknowledge the pessimists and believes Paul Ince's side are capable of negotiating a route away from danger. "We would be more worried if we were not getting points and not playing well," said the New Zealand international.

Injuries

"But we are playing really well and once we get some players back who have been injured the results will come. "We are not worried at all. A couple of wins and you are right back up the table - it is a funny league this year." Keeper Paul Robinson is equally as confident in Rovers' ability to steer clear of the drop. "If we play like we did in the second half (during Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea) we'll get results against a lot of teams," he said. "We know we are playing reasonably well. There are winnable games coming up and we need to start picking up some points now."
