Torosidis denies Blackburn contact

Greek star Vasilis Torosidis has played down suggestions he is set for a January move to Blackburn. The Olympiakos defender has been linked with a switch to Ewood Park in the New Year. However, the 23-year-old has denied having any contact with the English club. "Nobody has contacted me and no document has arrived from Blackburn. It is only rumours and it is not up to me to go somewhere," he said in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph. "I have a contract with Olympiakos. If Blackburn or another club has an agreement with Olympiakos then I will speak with them."

Trialists impress

Meanwhile, Rovers boss Paul Ince admits he has been impressed by his current international trailists. Egyptian winger Ahmed Al-Muhammadi of ENPPI has enjoyed his trial spell, whilst Tromso defender Tore Reginiussen has also impressed. "The Egyptian lad is decent, he has got a lot about him and we have a Norwegian lad in, Tore Reginiussen, who looks good," said Ince. "But it will take time, it will be a couple of weeks before we get to look at them in games and that sort of stuff. "From what I have seen they look okay. It is funny because if Modric had not been injured I don't think Aaron Lennon would have played on Sunday. "You have to have pace in the Premiership, and it is something we are looking at for January."
