The 20-year-old has signed a three-year deal that will keep him at the KC Stadium until 2014 after the clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.
The Northern Ireland international made 18 appearances for the Tigers during a loan spell this season - scoring on his debut against Reading and finding the net twice thereafter.
