Midfielder calls for fans to keep their protests outside the ground

Blackburn midfielder David Dunn has called for the club's owners Venky's to end their silence and start communicating with the fans. Venky's became the first Indian owners of a Premier League club in November 2010 when they took over at Ewood Park and soon replaced manager Sam Allardyce with Steve Kean. But, following a lack of investment from the Indian poultry firm and loss of form on the pitch, supporters have been left frustrated by the absence of interaction from the Rao family over their future plans. And Dunn told The Sun: "The fans have been criticised from all ends of the country. "But in the last few games they've been fantastic, right behind us. "I understand totally there need to be some decisions made. It's the owners' decision but there needs to be communication - that's what the fans want. "The fans have always been great for me but if they can keep their protests outside the ground, we play with more confidence. "So let's clear all the rubbish out and try to build up this great club again. If everyone sticks together we can go on from here."
