Rovers keeper confident survival can be secured

Paul Robinson believes Blackburn have found form at just the right time, with the club having pulled three points clear of the drop zone. A largely forgettable campaign has seen Rovers thrust into a basement battle, with a slow start to the campaign costing them dear. They have, however, started to show signs of life over recent weeks, taking seven points from their last four Premier League outings. Having edged out of the bottom three, Blackburn are now hoping to pull clear of trouble. Robinson is confident they can do just that, with the experienced goalkeeper impressed by the club's recent level of performance. "We seem to be hitting form just at the right time," he told the club's official website. "We are obviously in a precarious position, one that we wouldn't want to be in, but the way the games have fallen for us and the way our form is at the moment, we seem to be picking up results at the right time.

Winnable

"It is going to be a very important week for us and hopefully it can continue. "We've got two very winnable games coming up (against Sunderland and Bolton) and we'll be looking at those to get six points from them, and six points at this stage of the season, given the position we are in, would be a massive achievement. "There are five teams down there at the moment and it looks like it'll be three from five, we are sitting at the top of the five and hopefully that is how it will stay, and we've got to make sure that it stays that way." Rovers' last outing saw them claim a 2-0 victory over fellow strugglers Wolves, with a vital victory seeing Robinson secure his first shut-out of the season. "On a personal level the clean sheet was very important, you don't want records like that against you," he said. "It had been going a long time and it is something you think about as a goalkeeper as you pride yourself and get judged on clean sheets. "So to get the clean sheet as well as the performance and the win was good, it was a good weekend all round."
