Steve Kean is confident there will still be 'good weekends' ahead for Blackburn Rovers after his side dropped back into the relegation zone.
After relegation rivals Bolton Wanderers, Queens Park Rangers and Wigan Athletic all won on Saturday, Rovers slipped back into the bottom three on goal difference after losing 2-0 at home to leaders Manchester United on Monday night.
The defeat was a second in a row for Kean's side after back-to-back wins had briefly lifted Blackburn a few points clear of trouble last month.
Rovers also have a tough run-in, with games against Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea to come, but Kean is determined to look at the positives.
"I said a couple of weeks ago, after we had back-to-back wins and everyone was saying we were almost there, there are lots of games and lots of twists and turns. It is the same now," said the Scot.
"Even if we had beaten United it wouldn't have finished things.
"It has been a bad weekend but there will be good weekends, when we get a result and other teams around us are expecting to win but don't.
"That is the nature of the league at the moment.
"We just have to take the positives, which are the chances we created and the fact we held the potential champions for 80 minutes."
