Blackburn boss Steve Kean hopes to finalise a double deal for Sporting midfielder Diogo Rosado and Galatasaray forward Colin Kazim-Richards.

Kean feels he is near to having the squad he wants for the season

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean is hoping to finalise a double deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Diogo Rosado and Galatasaray forward Colin Kazim-Richards. Kean has been busy reshaping his squad over the summer following relegation from the Premier League and Rosado looks set to be the latest Portuguese arrival at Ewood Park. The 22-year-old has yet to be given a chance at Sporting, but has been building up experience with several loan spells in recent seasons. He is set to be joined at Blackburn by Kazim-Richards, who is poised to seal a season-long loan after recently training with West Ham United. "We are just waiting on the final paperwork for Diogo and we are hopeful we can get something done for Colin very soon too," said Kean in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph. "I think we would be there then, after signing another striker, providing we can keep everyone. "When you look at the squad and you see the depth, we are very close if we can get these striker positions filled. Colin would count as one of them."
