David Flitcroft has described the challenge on Bury striker Anton Forrester by Fleetwood's Mark Roberts as 'a horror tackle'.
Roberts made the tackle in the 2-2 draw on Tuesday night and the Shakers manager has asked referee Mark Haywood to review it after Blackburn loanee Forrester suffered suspected ligament damage. "I was disappointed about the situation, for me it was an absolute nailed on horror tackle," Flitcroft told the Bury Times. "He's absolutely smashed him. To be fair to the ref said 'listen, if I've got it wrong I will apologise'. He's a good ref and he's a good man so we've got to look at that. "It looks a bit ominous for Anton though, it looks like ligament damage."
