The former Manchester United man has been used in both midfield and defence since his move to Villa Park, but prefers to play in the back-line.
Johnsen is not sure where Taylor thinks his best position is, but will continue to follow orders for the good of the team.
"It was good, but I still don't know where he wants to use me regularly," he told VG. "I play where I'm told to play. But I feel that it is good to play regularly again."
Johnsen also heaped praise on goalkeeper Peter Enckelman for the way he bounced back following his blooper against local rivals Birmingham.
Enckelman made a terrible blunder when allowing a throw-in to scrape his boot and roll into the net.
The Finn was mocked by Birmingham fans, something which Johnsen claims was out of order, but he bounced back with a fine display against Everton.
Commenting on what happened to Enckelman, Johnsen added: "This shouldn't be allowed to happen. They weren't only dancing in front of him, there was one that clapped at him as well.
"But against Everton, Peter straightened up his reputation with a couple of good saves."
Johnsen felt it was crucial to bounce back, adding: "It was very important. Especially after what happened against Birmingham."
