Wright has been frozen out of Graham Taylor's plans for the majority of this term, but has started the last two games due to a defensive injury crisis at Villa Park.
However, the 32-year-old seems resigned to leaving Villa, and admits he is aware of interest from St Andrews.
"I know they have been to see a few games and that they have a few injuries," said the former Blackburn Rovers man.
"It is up to them to make an offer to Villa and see where that takes us."
Meanwhile, Villa have confirmed they are offering a new and improved deal to promising defender Rob Edwards.
The youth product has made the breakthrough to the first-team this campaign after seemingly being on his way out of the club in the not-too-distant past.
Assistant boss John Deehan expressed his delight at the youngster's recent progress.
"He's organised himself and got himself sorted out," he commented.
"Two or three games has been great for him and the football club and it has been progress from a player we didn't expect it from."
