Earnshaw staying at City

Cardiff City chairman Sam Hammam has angrily dismissed speculation linking star striker Robert Earnshaw with a move away from Ninian Park.

The controversial former Wimbledon chief called a press conference to a premature close when asked about Earnshaw's future.

Scottish champions Celtic are the latest club to be linked with the 23-year-old hitman, along with Premiership sides Fulham, Charlton and Aston Villa.

Despite the Bluebirds being £21 million in debt, Hammam insists Earnshaw will not be allowed to leave City.

''I have answered these questions so many times,'' said an exasperated Hammam.

''We have said it before. We don't need to sell.

''Go and see and read what you or others have written. Nothing has changed.''

Whilst Cardiff have endured a fitful season, Earnshaw has been a model of consistency - scoring 26 goals thus far.
