Sevilla are reported to be lining up moves for Albert Luque and Javier Saviola.Sevilla are reported to be lining up a double move for Albert Luque and Javier Saviola.
The Spanish side are weighing up the duo as they draw up a list of replacements for Arsenal target Julio Baptista.
Arsenal are reported to have made a new improved bid for the Brazilian international as they look to bring him to Highbury.
Should Sevilla lose Baptista they are hoping to sign Deportivo La Coruna forward Luque and Barcelona ace Saviola.
Saviola has been told he can leave Barcelona as he does not figure in their long-term plans.
Sevilla are thought to be keen to sign Saviola on loan, but they could face competition from Aston Villa with reports emanating from Spain and England suggesting the Midlands outfit have joined the chase for the South American.
Deportivo would be reticent to sell Luque as the Spanish international is their most prized asset.
Luque, who has a contract with Depor until 2010, admitted he was flattered to be linked with Sevilla.
"The interest of Sevilla is an honour, although I am very happy at Deportivo," Luque told Marca.
"If they want me, they will have to speak with my president Augusto Cesar Lendoiro."The player's father and agent, Rafael Luque, did not hide the fact that he would welcome an offer and stated that his son would fancy a move to the south of Spain.
"If they come to an agreement with Depor, Albert would love to live in Andalucia," Rafael Luque explained. "He thoroughly enjoyed Malaga and Sevilla is a city that he likes a lot."
"Now they have to make an approach and open talks."
