Mathieu Berson has urged former Villa team-mate Milan Baros to join him at Levante.
Mathieu Berson has urged former Aston Villa team-mate Milan Baros to join him at Levante.
Baros has been linked with a January exit from Villa, with reports claiming Premiership champions Chelsea want to sign the striker.
The Czech Republic international has already rejected a move to Real Sociedad, but Berson feels Baros would be a good signing for Levante.
The Primera Liga strugglers are in desperate need of a new forward in January's transfer window and Berson wants to be reunited with Baros.
While the ex-Liverpool attacker may not be tempted by a switch to Levante, his former Villa colleague aims to put up a persuasive argument.
"He is a magnificent player with enormous capacity for scoring goals and in England now he doesn't have many options," Berson told the Spanish press.
"With his style, he has the quality to be a success in Spain.
"It all depends on the club, but Milan has demonstrated his ability in the best leagues.
"I am convinced that his help for Levante would be the solution to the difficulties in attack."
