Curtis Davies has warned the Premier League's strikers he will be bigger and stronger when he returns next season.
The Aston Villa stopper suffered an injury nightmare when he ruptured his Achilles tendon in March.
Davies has now revealed that he is building up his upper body while he waits to begin his rehabilitation on his Achilles.
"I know what I have got to do. While I can't run I am making my top half stronger and our fitness expert says he is creating a monster," Davies told the Daily Mirror.
"Hopefully strikers will have to watch out for my strength in the future.
"The injury is the worst thing that has ever happened to me - particularly the timing. I was just starting to get into my stride.
"I am also looking forward to chopping my crutches in half or incinerating them soon! Now I would like to be involved by the beginning of September."
Davies is currently on a season-long loan from West Bromwich Albion - but despite the injury Villa will stick to their original agreement and make the deal a permanent one in July.
