The Magpies have had a long-standing interest in the England Under-21 international and it was reported that they had stepped up their interest in Prutton and had made a £3 million offer for his services.
Forest, who had put their entire first-team squad up for sale in a bid to cut their debts, insist that they have received no offers for the talented 19-year-old star or any of their players.
"We have not received any bids for any of our players," said Forest boss Paul Hart.
Hart would like to keep Prutton, who is regarded as the club's most valuable asset, but knows he faces a fight to hold onto him considering their finanacial situation.
