The Atletico Paranaense star looked to set to join Sir Bobby Robson's Newcastle side in the winter but his Brazilian club baulked at the offer of a six-month loan deal with a clause to make the move permanent.
However, it appears that Kleberson will be given his dream of English football - and he admitted friend Ronaldo had told him that Robson was a brilliant manager.
"Ronaldo has told me all about Bobby Robson and he has made my mind up," said Kleberson, who had asked the Real Madrid man what he thought of the man that coached him at PSV Eindhoven.
"I am told he is a great man; a man of honour, a simple and good man who knows all about football and its secrets.
"This is who I want to play for.
"Newcastle are the ones because I can see they are a strong side today.
"The Premiership is huge in Brazil and I often see Alan Shearer playing alongside his team-mates, and know it is a fitting place to start my career in Europe.
"I have been reading, learning and watching all I can about The Premiership and am becoming an expert.
"I can't wait to come over. I think the English league is the toughest around."
