The Magpies have struggled for goals this season but they were far from shot-shy against their Dutch opponents and have virtually sealed their spot in the next round.
Craig Bellamy started the rout with a delicate chip on 31 minutes and the Welsh international tapped in from close range six minutes later to put the hosts 2-0 up at the break.
NAC rarely troubled their opponents with Johan Elmander shooting at Shay Given while Gary Speed twice called Gabor Babos into action.
French winger Laurent Robert also tested the NAC keeper while Bellamy almost grabbed his hat-trick when he hit the crossbar.
Sir Bobby Robson's troops turned the screw on the hour mark when Titus Bramble powerfully headed home Robert's pinpoint corner.
Alan Shearer missed a gilt-edged chance to extend the lead but the Magpies captain was merely setting his sights as on 77 minutes he unleashed a thunderous free-kick into the back of the net.
To put the icing on the cake, Darren Ambrose poached his first goal for Newcastle in the final minute to put his team on the cusp of the second round.
