Coleman fumes over Boa Morte

Chris Coleman has given Newcastle a week to make a bid for Luis Boa Morte.

Chris Coleman has warned Newcastle United they have a week to make a serious bid for Fulham attacker Luis Boa Morte.

The Portugal international is wanted by Magpies boss Graeme Souness, with reports suggesting an offer of £3 million is forthcoming.

Fulham boss Coleman has dismissed any notion of letting Boa Morte leave for that figure and wants at least £5 million for the attacker.

But Coleman concedes he is starting to get sick of all the transfer rumours concerning Boa Morte and is anxious for an end to the speculation.

Coleman has given Newcastle a seven-day deadline to lodge an offer for Boa Morte otherwise the matter will be laid to rest.

"If Luis wants to join Newcastle and Newcastle want to buy Luis Boa Morte then they are going to have to pay a hell of a lot of money for him," fumed Coleman.

"And if they don't pay a lot of money for him then he will be playing for us, it's as simple as that.

"I'm sick of all the talk in all honesty, that Newcastle are bidding £3 million. You won't even get his boots for that.

"They need to put their money on the table. Otherwise they have got to shut up and let us get on with the season.

"If nothing happens next week, because that would give us no time for a replacement, then they need to go away and that goes for any other club."
