Didier Deschamps has reiterated Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be leaving Juventus.
Juventus boss Didier Deschamps has upped the ante with want-away striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, stating yet again that the summer sales are over at Stadio Delle Alpi.Since the club's relegation to Serie B following their conviction in the Italian match fixing trial the Bianconeri have seen Gianluca Zambrotta, Lilian Thuram, Fabio Cannavaro, Emerson and Patrick Vieira leave Turin.
Swedish World Cup striker Ibrahimovic is keen to join the exodus, with his agent stating the former Ajax star has no intention of playing in a lower league next season.
However Deschamps is standing firm regarding Ibrahimovic's position, insisting that irrespective of the agent's comments the hit-man remains under the control of Juve.
"I reaffirm, the doors for sales are closed, especially in attack," said Deschamps.
"The player's agent can say what he wants.
"I think about coaching and I check the players' attitude and for the moment Zlatan has caused no problems."
The future of fellow striker David Trezeguet also looks cloudy with the French international being linked with a return to France with Lyon, but Deschamps is expecting the former Monaco man to report for training following his World Cup exploits.
"He's already in Monte Carlo, but we have not spoken yet and there is no reason to do this before next Thursday when he will be back," Deschamps added.
Juventus are keen to bring in new faces to replace the world stars that have departed Turin this summer, and one player prominent in their thoughts is Monaco star Gael Givet.
However Deschamps believes he faces an uphill battle in recruiting the French World Cup defender, whilst playing down rumoured interest in Givet's international colleague and Newcastle stopper Jean-Alain Boumsong.
"We are not sleeping but we must have patience.
"Givet could arrive but it's not an easy negotiation.
"In the last days Monaco have lost many players and Gael's departure would be another coup.
"Boumsong? There haven't been real contacts, agents talk but facts are another thing."
Juve could yet be in Serie A next season if their second appeal against the match-fixing verdict bears fruit, and the Italian giants are awaiting news from the Olympic Committee Arbitration Council.
They also have the option of taking the case to civil courts, and Deschamps has not given up hope of leading his side in the top flight next season.
"I still believe in Serie A, especially due to the different treatment between Juve and the other teams involved in the enquiry.
"Let's wait until the final verdict, Serie A with a 30 point penalty would be a hidden Serie B, certainly not a gift."
Whatever their league status the Bianconeri will be led by legendary forward Alessandro Del Piero again next season.
"The stripe will remain with the player who always wore it in these years," confirmed Deschamps, who played with the Azzurri hit-man during his time as a midfielder in Turin.
"Del Piero is a leader, even if luckily in this team there are many of them.
"Obviously the feeling with Alex will be different in comparison to the past, now we are no longer team-mates.
"I'm the coach and he's one of my players, but I don't forget we all lived together."
