Ipswich Town have agreed a loan deal with West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble.
Ipswich Town have agreed a deal to take West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble on loan.
The 19-year-old will formally complete a three-month loan deal with the East Anglian club on Friday after training with Jim Magilton's side this week.
Noble, who has experience of The Championship after a loan spell at Hull City last season, has been a summer target for the Portman Road club.
The teenager is pleased to have arrived at Town, despite the club's woeful start to the new season.
"I know Ipswich have not had a good start, but I don't read anything into the first few games of the season," Noble told the club's official website.
"I heard the team played well against Crystal Palace last week and were unlucky not to get anything from that match and the Wolves game.
"The fact that Ipswich are down at the bottom at the moment doesn't worry me at all.
"With the size of the club, the support it enjoys and the quality of players here, I expect Ipswich to start moving up the table.
"I had a few clubs that were said to be interested in me, but coming to Ipswich was an easy decision to make and I can't wait to get going."
Another player that Magilton is taking a close look at Newcastle United winger Martin Brittain.
Brittain has spent most of the pre-season looking for a new club after trials with Brighton & Hove Albion, Hull City, Kilmarnock.
