Alan Curbishley has refused to comment on speculation linking him with Kieron Dyer.West Ham manager Alan Curbishley has refused to comment on speculation linking him with a move for Kieron Dyer.
The England midfielder has been told by Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce that he will let him leave St James' Park.
Dyer is reportedly going through some personal problems and is believed to be looking to move back down south, and both Tottenham and West Ham have been strongly linked.
When asked about Dyer, Curbishley said: "I don't think it is right to ask me about other club's players."
The Hammers boss did reveal that he was looking to make further moves in the transfer market.
"There is lots of paper talk, we are linked with lots of players - perhaps people see us as a go-ahead club at the moment," he told Sky Sports News.
"The people I am trying to bring in are the right age, right experience, enthusiastic and want to do well, so perhaps players are seeing West Ham in a different light.
"We had a tough season last year and this season could be different. I think the club needs a nice solid season and to be on the back pages for the right reasons.
"Everyone is looking forward to the start of the season."
