Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor believes manager Kevin Keegan is the ideal man to bring silverware to St James' Park.
Keegan was sensationally named Magpies boss for a second time in January following a short spell in charge by Sam Allardyce.
He came so close to claming the Premier League title last time around and Taylor sees no reason why the fans' favourite cannot have the team challenging once again.
When asked if Keegan was the man to bring silverware to Newcastle, Taylor told Sky Sports News: I don't think there's a better man for it.
"He inspires every player. He doesn't coach, he just inspires all the players. He's a man's man.
"The players have so much respect for him. Everywhere he goes in Newcastle he's loved. The fans love him to bits. He gets 110 per cent out of you.
Players to blame
Newcastle finished 12th in the Premier League ladder last season and Taylor has admitted the players have to shoulder the blame for a below-par campaign.
"We have a really small squad, but there's plenty of quality in there," he continued.
"It's up to us because last season was a disappointing season. The fans, they obviously know that.
"It's up to us. We've got ourselves to blame for last year."
