Newcastle United manager Kevin Keegan has confirmed that Abdoulaye Faye and Shola Ameobi are set to leave the club - but insists James Milner is going nowhere.
Milner has been linked with Premier League rivals Aston Villa, with whom he spent the 2005-06 season on loan.
The 22-year-old winger has become one of the Magpies' most influential players since his return to Tyneside, though, and is a key figure in Keegan's plans for the new season.
"He is the last player that Newcastle United want to sell, and I'm talking about the owner and myself," Keegan told the club's official website.
"James Milner won't be leaving here, I'm sure of that."
Faye is on the verge of joining Premier League new-boys Stoke, however, after just one season at St James' Park.
Championship side Ipswich have made an approach for Ameobi and the 26-year-old striker may end his long association with Newcastle after making just 11 league starts for the Magpies in the last two seasons.
And Keegan revealed that their departures could pave the way for further additions following the capture of Argentinian defender Fabricio Coloccini on Friday.
"It looks like Abdoulaye Faye is going to Stoke and Shola Ameobi has been given permission to speak to Ipswich Town," Keegan added.
"But that's the end of players going out, and if those deals do happen, there will be some more players coming in."
