Ryan Taylor says his Newcastle team-mates are preparing themselves for the longest season of their careers so far. A remarkable fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season has guaranteed European football for the Magpies for the first time in five years. And with the fans clamouring for a repeat of this season as well as progress against the cream of the continent Taylor is braced for a tough few months ahead. "It's a massive season coming up," Taylor told the club's official website. "There's a lot of lads here - and I'm one of them - who have never played in Europe before. "What we did last season was a massive achievement, but we cannot dwell on that and keep patting ourselves on the back, we have to make sure we build on it. "The lads have been looking after themselves through the summer because it could be a long, tough season ahead. We could have 12-15 more games than last season, providing it all goes well. "So that makes it a big season and everyone is going to have a part to play."
