Transfer news: Alan Pardew confident Newcastle will strengthen in summer
Alan Pardew is already lining up a number of summer additions at Newcastle, with loanee Loic Remy still a top target.

The Magpies failed to strengthen in January, with a short-term agreement for Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk de Jong the only business completed.
With Yohan Cabaye having been offloaded to Paris St German, ridding Newcastle of their most creative talent in the middle of the park, a loyal fan base had been hoping for much more.
Pardew has sought to assure those growing disillusioned with the transfer policy at St James' park that the next window will be different, with significant market moves being readied.
He said: "Some fans may fear we are not going to move forward, but I think we will.
"We have got ourselves in a good position in terms of transfer preparation. We must make sure we strengthen well in the summer.
"I'm not going to put a figure on how many are coming in but we are going to be active."
Among those Pardew is hoping to land on a permanent basis is France international striker Remy.
He has spent the 2013/14 campaign on loan in the North East from Queens Park Rangers and, despite admitting that he would like to grace the UEFA Champions League next term, Newcastle believe there might be a deal to be done.
Pardew added: "We have a chance of keeping him and I would like to think it is a good chance.
"I just think he has had a good year. Sometimes you can be a good fit at a club, and he is here."
