Niall Quinn and Thierry Henry look at the two big talking points surrounding Sergio Aguero; his offside goal and his penalty appeal

It was a night of mixed fortunes for Sergio Aguero as Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw at relegation-threatened Newcastle on Tuesday night.

The Argentina international scored his 100th Premier League goal in the 14th minute at St James' Park, becoming the second quickest player to do so behind Alan Shearer.

The landmark goal was fraught was controversy, though, with Aguero clearly several yards offside when Aleksandar Kolarov delivered into the area.

City's prolific striker then had cause to feel aggrieved in the second half when Chancel Mbemba appeared to trip Aguero in the area, but referee Kevin Friend did not feel the tackle warranted a penalty.

Thierry Henry and Niall Quinn joined David Jones in the Football Special studio to cast their expert eye over the major talking points from the game.
