The Colombian has a string of admirers and, at 28, is seen as a centre back at the peak of his powers.
A goal in the French Cup semi-final with PSG will have further nudged the capital club towards making a move for the South American, but, despite attention from Ligue 1, Yepes's first choices are either to stay at Atlantique or move to La Liga.
"I am quiet and assured here," he told the French media.
"I am well with everyone. If I must stay, it would not be a problem for me.
"I am calm, it is my nature. I recognise that this can be a little recognition of my work but I think only about the present.
"I do not know what my future will be. I prefer to wait until the championship is over before making a decision.
"For me, the simplest choice is to go to Spain for easy reasons to understand. To remain in France is also a good solution because I appreciate the country and the level of the championship."
Yepes is under contract until 2006 and, despite saying he would be happy to stay with Nantes, a transfer looks to be on the cards.
