Juanfran has confirmed he is the subject of interest from both England and Spain.Spanish defender Juanfran has confirmed he is the subject of interest from both England and Spain after being linked with Manchester City.
Kevin Keegan is reported to want the Besiktas full back on loan for the rest of the season to replace Ben Thatcher who is expected to seal a move to Fulham in the very near future.
Juanfran moved to Turkey last summer from Celta Vigo following the Galician club's relegation from the Spanish top-flight.
He currently plays under Spanish coach Vicente Del Bosque at Besiktas, but admits he could well move on as the Istanbul giants have financial problems which have seen them unable to honour his contract.
"I have several propositions from clubs in England and Spain," he told skysports.com. "But everything depends on Besiktas.
"Up until now they have not agreed a financial deal that would allow me to leave.
"The Turkish club have money problems and have not been able to pay my contract. Leaving seems the only solution, but I won't go to just any club.
"My decision will be definitive."
When asked directly about the possibility of a move to Manchester City, he continued: "English football is very interesting, and now Spanish players are very important over there.
"I believe my future will be sorted out by next Wednesday."
Any English club chasing the 28-year-old is likely to face stiff competition from La Primera for his signature as the Spain cap enjoyed successful spells with Celta and Valencia amongst others and is still highly-rated in his homeland.
