Manchester City goalkeeper Nicky Weaver is expected to be fit to face Wigan.
Manchester City goalkeeper Nicky Weaver is expected to be fit for next weekend's game with Wigan.
Weaver missed Saturday's goalless draw with Sheffield United with a back problem he picked up in training.
City boss Stuart Pearce insists the injury is not serious and that Weaver should be back in action for the trip to The JJB Stadium.
"Nicky did everything possible to get himself fit for Sheffield United and he was very disappointed he has missed a game," Pearce told the club's official website.
"But he is not far from full fitness, it should only be a few days."
Meanwhile, Pearce has praised Weaver's replacement against Sheffield United, Joe Hart, and he has tipped the England Under-19 international for a big future in the game.
"Joe can be very proud of himself," added Pearce.
"He is a 19-year-old boy going out to play in front of 40,000 people - that is not easy.
"We bought him because we feel he has a bright future. The more games like that he can get under his belt, the better it will be for him."
