City target waits on move.

Mark Bresciano remains hopeful that he will win a move to Manchester City in January. The Australian international came close to making the move to Eastlands earlier in the summer after holding talks with Sven Goran Eriksson. However, Palermo pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute after failing to agree how the fee would be paid. Eriksson has revealed his desire to rekindle a move for Bresciano when the transfer window reopens and the midfielder hopes Palermo will grant his wish to leave for England.

Fingers crossed

"I've just got to wait and see if my team in Italy release me in January," Bresciano told The Sunday Mirror. "I've got my fingers crossed."
