Genoa have set their sights on Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov, according to reports in Italy.
The Bulgarian only joined City from Fiorentina last summer but he missed virtually all of his first season in the Premier League after suffering a serious knee injury.
Speculation suggests that he could now be set to return to Italy, although he may not make a decision until Sven Goran Eriksson's future has been resolved.
Genoa are also understood to be interested in Juventus midfielder Sergio Almiron and Napoli defender Maurizio Domizzi.
Domizzi impressed for Napoli this season and would be keen to make the move to Genoa.
He told the Italian press: "I know the Rossoblu President wants me. I would be happy to join Genoa but for now I have to wait.
"I will go on holiday and then we will see. However, I have a contract until 2011.
"Genoa are a prestigious team, but it also depends on Napoli and what they want to do with me."
Borriello open to Milan move
Juve's Almiron is valued in the region of £8million but Genoa could decide to cash in on French full-back Abdoullay Konko or striker Marco Borriello.
Borriello has admitted he would be interested in a move to Milan, but not if that means playing second fiddle to other forwards at the club.
"I see myself as a first or second choice striker, not fifth choice. In that case I'll stay at Genoa," said Borriello, who netted 19 goals this season.
"Milan and Genoa are talking about the co-ownership and soon I'll know what's happening in my future."
"If the president is happy with the offer from the Rossoneri I'll be delighted to wear their jersey.
"If that's not the case, I won't be unhappy to stay at Genoa."
